On Tuesday night, the St. Thomas Aquinas boys soccer team honored 17 seniors on their senior night. But first, they had work to do. Before the ceremonies after the game, the team secured their second straight victory as they defeated Reagan 3-1.
Looking to build some momentum for a postseason run, they hopped out in front 1-0 on a penalty kick converted by Chase Carroll. After the game was tied up at one, the Raiders responded.
Kenneth Jones scored the go-ahead goal on an assist from Nicholas Dodge to make it 2-1. Just moments later, as the game neared its conclusion, the two combined again as this time Dodge found the back of the net to put the game on ice.
The team concludes their regular season this week, with an away matchup vs Doral Academy on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. and a home clash with American Heritage on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
