The Sports Information Department provides consistent and clear communication to STA’s key constituencies, focusing on internal communications, media relations and social media. Our team is responsible for writing, editing, photographing, videotaping and distributing stories based on news that is aligned with the four pillars of Aquinas Athletics.
MEDIA CREDENTIALS
Members of the media are invited to apply for Media Credentials at any time during the year. All sports utilize the same Media Request Form. We do not offer universal approvals, therefore a new request must be filled out for every event you wish to attend on the campus of St. Thomas Aquinas High School. By filling out this form you are agreeing to screening by The Archdiocese of Miami and the terms and conditions of St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
Please note the following media request deadlines per sport.
- FALL: Cross Country, Volleyball, Golf requests must be received no later than 24 hours prior to game time.
- WINTER: Basketball, Soccer, Wrestling requests must be received no later than 24 hours prior to game time.
- SPRING: Baseball, Flag Football, Lacrosse, Softball, Track & Field, Boys Volleyball requests must be received no later than 24 hours prior to game time.
Football Media Requests
- Football media requests must be received no later than the Wednesday prior to game day. All approved media will receive email notification on the Thursday prior to game day. If you applied, but did not receive an email, please check your spam folder or email Tricia Couch.
Off Site Athletic Events
- The following sports are held offsite when designated as a “HOME” game: Bowling, Tennis, Swimming & Diving, Waterpolo, Beach Volleyball. For information about the location of games for all Aquinas Athletics off site events, please check our calendar or email the athletic department.
INTERVIEWS
All interview requests (radio, web, television, phone) must be submitted using the Media Request form. Requests require at least 48 hours for approval. Please be as descriptive as possible when filling out the form. This will aide us in expediting your request. If you filled out your form and did not receive a reply within 24 hours, please email tricia.couch@aquinas-sta.org
