Recognized as Florida’s leading athletic high school by Niche.com, we stand as a beacon of achievement. Our athletes boast a remarkable 78% win rate across all sports, with five teams crowned State Champions last year alone. With 19 sports and 44 teams, we ensure every student finds their passion, maintaining gender equity with 23 girls and 21 boys teams.
Under my leadership as Athletic Director, we’ve embraced innovation, enhancing performance tracking and facilities to offer top-tier resources. Yet, beyond victories, our community values faith, family, tradition, and excellence. We believe sports instill vital life skills, fostering discipline, teamwork, and resilience.
The St. Thomas Aquinas Athletic Complex sits on over 25 acres in the heart of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Home to 42 programs, 5 hall of fame coaches and nearly 800 student athletes who are training and competing on campus, the Aquinas Athletics facility is home to Brian Piccolo Memorial Stadium, Ed Waters Field, and Bo Litzinger Gymnasium. State of the art locker rooms, weight and fitness centers, and a multi-purpose training field are surrounded by a 6 lane track, pole vaulting, discus, and javelin training areas.
