Pete Sandall joins St. Thomas Aquinas with over a decade of coaching experience. He has spent multiple years caddying on both the LPGA Tour and the Champions Tour, gaining firsthand insight into the highest levels of competitive golf. In addition to his professional experience, Pete has coached numerous high-level amateur players, guiding them through elite tournaments across the United States and helping them elevate both their technical skills and mental approach to the game.
Pete will be entering his fifth year coaching the Girls Golf Team at St. Thomas Aquinas, where his impact has been both immediate and lasting. Under his leadership, the program has experienced tremendous growth, expanding from just seven players two years ago to an all-time high of 16 athletes last season. Beyond numbers, the team has seen significant success on the course, capturing multiple local invitational titles and District Championships while continuing to build a strong, competitive culture. His ability to develop players at all levels has been a key factor in the program’s sustained success.
Pete’s coaching philosophy, among many things, emphasizes the importance of going 1-0—focusing on winning each moment as it comes. This mindset extends far beyond the course, encouraging student-athletes to approach every aspect of their lives with purpose and discipline. Whether it’s in the classroom, at home, or in the community, Pete challenges his players to be intentional in their actions and consistent in their effort. He also places a strong emphasis on faith, encouraging a commitment to Jesus Christ as a guiding foundation in both golf and life, helping shape well-rounded individuals who strive for excellence in all they do.
