We proudly announce that our head coach, Joey Wardlow, and standout senior outfielder/pitcher, Zachary Malvasio, have been honored as the Florida Dairy Farmers Class 6A Coach & Player of the Year & FACA District Coach and Player of the Year, respectively.
A nationally respected coach, coach Wardlow guided our Raiders to a 29–6 season and the school’s fourth baseball state championship and first since 2018. With a finish inside the top 15 nationally, his outstanding leadership earned him the Coach of the Year accolades and cemented his spot as one of Florida’s elite.
Zachary Malvasio put together an exceptional senior campaign as one of the state’s most dynamic players. He batted .414 with 16 home runs (Top 5 in the nation), 48 RBIs, and he also came out of the bullpen, posting a 1.00 ERA in relief. His performance played a pivotal role in our state title run. Beyond the diamond, he’s a 4.25 GPA scholar soon to continue his baseball and academic journey at University of Central Florida.
Congratulations to both for their outstanding achievements, these two embody what it means to be a Raider!
