Duffy Dillon brings a distinguished career in competitive swimming and coaching to St. Thomas Aquinas as Head Swimming & Diving Coach. A former NCAA and USA National Champion and 2000 Olympic Coach for Panama, he has competed and led at the highest levels. He is also a Broward County Sports Hall of Fame inductee, honoring his impact on South Florida athletics.
With decades of experience, Dillon has coached athletes from beginners to Olympians, achieving success at the high school, collegiate, and international levels. His global background—training athletes and leading clinics across the U.S. and abroad—adds a well-rounded perspective to the Aquinas program.
At Aquinas, Dillon is building a championship culture rooted in discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement. His philosophy emphasizes technical precision, competitive resilience, and a team-first mindset, while developing student-athletes who excel academically and in life.
A man of strong faith, Dillon leads with integrity, purpose, and service, reinforcing values that extend beyond the pool and align with the school’s mission.
He also serves as Zone 3 Representative for NISCA, sits on the FHSAA Swimming & Diving Coaches Advisory Committee, and is Head Coach of the Lauderdale Yacht Club Dolphins.
In his first two years, Dillon has led the Raiders to top-seven state rankings while capturing Regional, District, and BCAA Championships. He aims to establish Aquinas as South Florida’s premier program and a consistent FHSAA state contender.
