St. Thomas Aquinas is proud to spotlight three standout student-athletes whose excellence has helped elevate Raider Basketball on the state and national stage.
Senior captain DJ Sandi, a four-year starter and American University signee, was instrumental in leading the Raiders to a 30–2 season and their second state championship since 2021. Averaging 9.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 3.3 steals per game, Sandi delivered one of the defining moments of the title run by scoring the go-ahead basket in a remarkable 16-point comeback during the state final. A multi-sport athlete who also competes in track, Sandi is equally proud of helping Aquinas earn a Top-10 national ranking this season.
Joining him among STA’s elite performers is Isabella Sangha, a senior forward/center and Notre Dame commit whose dominance extends across two sports. The reigning Sun Sentinel Volleyball Player of the Year called reaching the state tournament with Aquinas—a milestone she had not achieved at Pine Crest—a defining highlight of her career. A member of the 1,000-point club and former Pine Crest record-holder for points in a game (41) and season, Sangha averaged 28 points, 11.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.8 steals, and 1.5 blocks last year.
Sophomore standout London Thomas continues to shine as one of Broward County’s top young talents. A varsity player since seventh grade and a Sun Sentinel All-County selection, Thomas earned a spot on the Big 8 All-Tournament Team after averaging 18.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and nearly a steal per game. A former competitive gymnast with Division I interest from Florida State, Penn State, Miami, Texas A&M and more, she has already established herself as a cornerstone of the Raiders’ future.
Together, these athletes represent the skill, character, and championship standard of St. Thomas Aquinas Athletics.
