Leonard Hankerson starred at wide receiver for St. Thomas Aquinas before taking his talents to the University of Miami, where he developed into one of the Hurricanes’ all-time great pass catchers. In 2010, he set single-season school records with 72 receptions, 1,156 receiving yards, and 13 touchdowns. His production earned him All-ACC honors and solidified his spot as a top NFL prospect. Hankerson was selected in the 3rd round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins, and went on to play for Washington, the Atlanta Falcons, and the New England Patriots. After retiring from playing, he transitioned into coaching and has served as an NFL wide receivers coach.
