On a cold and windy night at St. Thomas Aquinas, the boys soccer team brought some heat on the field. Making a statement in their postseason opener, the Raiders crushed the Nova Titans 8-0 to advance to the 6A District Semifinals.
Three Raiders scored two goals, with Rayne Archuleta, Schuyler Selver and Kenneth Jones all finding the back of the net twice. After just a 2-0 lead at halftime, STA turned it on in the second half and ended the game in a mercy-rule.
The Raiders will play in the District Semifinals on Tuesday at St. Thomas Aquinas.
