The St. Thomas Aquinas girls soccer team traveled to Allen, Texas over the holiday break to play three games against teams from the Lone Star State.
The Raiders, who entered the trip undefeated, returned that way as well. After drawing their first two contests, the team defeated Vandegrift 2-0 in their final game to cap off the expedition on a high note.
STA tied the first contest 2-2, with goals from sophomore Marissa Arellano and freshman Brooklyn Burbridge. The offense output continued in their second game, mustering up three goals in a draw vs the hometown team, Allen. Bubridge, sophomore Sophia Barnes and junior Bianca Raskin found the back of the net.
The defense tightened up in the group’s final game, helping them to a 2-0 win and their tenth victory of the season. The Raiders remain undefeated with a record of 10-0-3 on the year and a goal differential of +45.
Their next game is Jan. 7th on the road at Doral Academy.
