Coach Dave Palm brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the St. Thomas Aquinas High School beach volleyball program as the Head Coach. With 12 years of coaching under his belt, including five years at STA, Coach Palm has demonstrated his passion and commitment to the sport.
As the Head Coach, Coach Palm has achieved remarkable success with his teams. In his time at STA, he has led the Raiders to numerous district and regional championships, establishing the program as a consistent contender at both the local and state levels. In 2025, he guided the Raiders to an impressive 19-5 record and an appearance in the FHSAA State Semifinals, a testament to the team’s growth, resilience, and competitive edge under his leadership. His ability to develop talent, build strong team chemistry, and prepare his athletes for high-pressure competition has been a defining factor in the program’s continued success.
Coach Palm is also a successful professional beach volleyball player, having competed on the AVP tour for eight years. His experience at the highest level of the sport provides invaluable insight and firsthand knowledge that he brings directly to his athletes, from advanced technical skills to in-game strategy and mental toughness. Beyond wins and accolades, Coach Palm is dedicated to mentoring his players both on and off the sand, instilling discipline, confidence, and a strong work ethic that extends beyond competition. His leadership continues to elevate the St. Thomas Aquinas beach volleyball program while preparing student-athletes for success at the next level.
