Having dedicated 25 years of his coaching tenure to St. Thomas Aquinas, Coach Wimberley has played a crucial role in shaping the skills and character of young wrestlers. His commitment to excellence is evident through the numerous accolades and achievements of his teams and individual athletes. He is a member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and has led his team to an impressive 28 individual state championships.
In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Coach Wimberley has also excelled as a competitor in the sport. He boasts a remarkable college playing experience of four years and has wrestled professionally for five years as a part of USA Wrestling. His firsthand knowledge of the sport at both the collegiate and professional levels allows him to provide valuable insights and guidance to his wrestlers.
