The Raiders poured in four runs in a resurgent 5th inning to catapult themselves ahead of nationally ranked Marjory Stoneman Douglas, for good. STA defeated the Eagles 7-6 on Tuesday night and moved to 7-2 on the season.
The Raiders saw contributions across the lineup, with key hits from several players and timely offensive production that pushed them over the edge in a one-run ballgame. Defensively and on the mound, the team battled in a back-and-forth contest that came down to the final at-bat.
With the win, STA improves its early-season record and continues to build momentum as the season progresses.
