Jeremy Cain, a versatile athlete from St. Thomas Aquinas, went on to play college football at the University of Massachusetts, where he excelled as a linebacker and long snapper. He broke into the NFL in 2004 and carved out a successful career primarily as a long snapper, a role in which he played for the Chicago Bears, Tennessee Titans, and most notably the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he appeared in 80 games. Cain’s consistency and reliability as a specialist made him one of the longest-tenured Raiders in the NFL ranks.
